The Papua Governor Expert Staff for Welfare and human Resources, Annie Rumbiak, in Jayapura, said the provincial government’s serious attention in the field of education is shown with a grant of 10 billion Rupiah to be disbursed in two phases, amounting to 5 billion Rupiah each. This fund is for the improvement of human resources within the educational institution of Jayapura University of Science and Technology.
According to Annie, it should be noted that the development of education in Papua, especially primary and secondary education still has complex challenges and problems. The society will be more open, competition in various aspects tighter where the availability of reliable human resources, both in terms of quality and quantity, is one of the bigger challenges they are facing this time. Improving the quality of education becomes a very important thing because it will impact on the community’s trust in the institution itself.
President Jokowi during his work visit in Jayapura, Papua reminded the public of the importance of quality human resources to be able to win the competition at the global level. Mr. Jokowi also reminded the importance of preparing quality human resources and high productivity in order to provide benefits for the community and also the country in the future.
